Liverpool Women v London City Lionesses Women preview: kick-off time, team news and form

Liverpool Women host London City Lionesses Women in the Women's Super League on Sunday 25th October 2026, with kick-off at St Helens Stadium set for 2.00pm UK time.

There's plenty at stake for both sides, albeit for very different reasons. Liverpool sit 8th in the table and will be desperate for a home win to kick-start their season, while London City Lionesses arrive in 3rd place and will fancy their chances of closing the gap on the top two.

Liverpool's recent WSL form reads DLWLL, a run that includes a draw with Spurs, defeats to Manchester City and Manchester United, a win over Everton, and most recently a loss away at Aston Villa. It's been an inconsistent spell for the Reds as they try to find their footing in the league.

London City Lionesses, by contrast, head into this one full of confidence. Their last five WSL games read LWWWW, with only an opening defeat to West Ham interrupting an otherwise perfect run that has seen them beat Charlton, Brighton, Spurs and most recently Everton. That run has lifted them to within touching distance of the division's leading pack.

With Liverpool looking to arrest a difficult run of results and London City arriving as one of the form sides in the division, this has the makings of a tough but intriguing afternoon at St Helens Stadium.

Kick-off is at 2.00pm UK time on Sunday 25th October.
