Liverpool v Chelsea live: score, updates and line-ups

Chelsea have come out firing after the break and now have the upper hand in possession and shots. Mamardashvili has been key for Liverpool, saving well from Rogers and Neto, while Acheampong's yellow card for a foul on Ngumoha added to the second-half ill-discipline. Gusto has twice been caught offside as Chelsea push for a second, with Rogers also seeing an effort blocked, but the score remains locked at 1-1.

Not much has changed early in the second half, with the score and stats almost identical to how they stood at the break. Liverpool went in level at 1-1 despite finishing the first half strongly, and so far there have been no fresh chances to speak of since the restart.

A frantic end to the first half sees it finish 1-1. Rogers had put Chelsea ahead from the spot against the run of play, only for Gakpo to level with another penalty moments later. Liverpool finished the half on top, forcing a save from Penders and a corner that led to an Araujo header over, while Chelsea's Lacroix had to be replaced by Colwill through injury in stoppage time. Liverpool lead on shots, corners and attempts on target as the sides head in level.

Liverpool are level almost immediately! Fofana handles in the box moments after conceding the corner, and Gakpo steps up to fire home the resulting penalty, making it 1-1 just before the break.

Gravenberch gives away a penalty for a foul on Caicedo, and Morgan Rogers makes no mistake from the spot to send Chelsea ahead against the run of play at Anfield. Liverpool had enjoyed more of the ball, but it's Chelsea who lead 1-0 heading towards half-time.

Still 0-0 and chances remain at a premium, though Chelsea's Caicedo did fire the game's first effort wide from outside the box. Liverpool continue to dominate territory, holding nearly 60% possession and picking up another corner, while McConnell has joined Koumas in the book after a handball. The game remains niggly with fouls mounting on both sides, but neither keeper has had to make a save yet.

Still goalless and chances remain scarce, but the game has grown scrappier with Tsimikas picking up a couple of free kicks against him for fouls on Gusto and Neto. Liverpool still edge possession, now won a corner from a Caicedo block, while Koumas remains on a yellow card after his early booking. Chelsea are starting to see a bit more of the ball than earlier but still haven't registered a shot.

A quiet start at Anfield with neither side testing the goalkeepers yet. Liverpool have had the better of the ball, dominating possession early on, and won a free-kick on the left when Ngumoha was fouled by Pedro Neto. Chelsea are yet to create anything of note, with the game still goalless and shot-free for both sides.
